The good run of the Tipperary senior hurlers came to an end in Croke Park on Sunday. General consensus is that the number of locals who travelled was down on the numbers who made the trip in the past.
Our own reps on the team did not let us down but now that we are out of the All Ireland we can no longer enjoy ourselves in the reflected glory of the Tipp seniors. Now we have to depend on our own local resources.
No doubt they will relish this chance because it is quite a while since we last won a knockout match in senior hurling. With Tipp out of the senior hurling the day of reckoning could come quicker than expected.
