Most local people will know “The finger post”. It is the place outside Ninemilehouse where the Mullinahone road leaves or joins the main Kilkenny to Clonmel Road. There is a very nice lay-by there across from the county council store yard. From the lay-by there is a lovely view of the valley of the Anner and a fine map of South Tipperary. 

Over the weekend, I visited the area twice. I noticed that the map which is a great help to tourists has been completely blotted out with paint etc. This is pure vandalism and didn’t happen unknown to everybody. People are too tolerant of such anti-social acts. The perpetrators deserve to be reported.
