Eoin Makes History.

Eoin Makes History.

Last Sunday in Limerick Eoin Kelly made history by becoming the first players in our club to captain a Tipperary hurling team in a national field. It was a fitting tribute to a player who has achieved so many honours in his playing career.Eoin certainly led from the front and can be very proud of his now many achievements to date.

A nice touch on the day was seeing Paul Ormonde accept the cup with Eoin. Paul is nominated captain from Loughmore/ Caslteiney but as he wasn’t playing Eoin accepted the cup as vice-captain. Not to be forgotten on the day either was the performance of club mate Paul Curran. Man of the match in the semi final against Kilkenny, Paul has established himself as one of the outstanding full backs of the modern game.

Well done to you both lads. You’ve done your club proud and enjoy your well deserved break with your team mates in Portugal.

Not to be outdone on the day Niall Curran and his Tipperary footballers gained promotion to division 3 of the football league. It was just reward for the efforts they put in all through the league campaign.

Presentation to Sponsors

The juvenile club will hold a presentation night next Friday night at 8.00pm to thank sponsors for their contribution to the juvenile club in 2007.

Without your generous contribution many of the tournaments we run and enter would not be possible.
