Now that spring is here more and more people are beginning to walk out from the village. One of the things which they must notice is the condition of the roadsides which abandoned rubbish cartons, bottles, plastic bags, cigarette boxes, fast food boxes etc. are scattered along the roadside with abandon. How so much rubbish gets there is a cause for wonder. Perhaps it is cars going home from the village late at night.

Much worse in certain places things are much worse with bags of household rubbish being dumped into roadside ditches.

Perhaps, clues will be left in some of the bags or the cars will be seen and numbers noted and reported and prosecution will be and abrupt end to this sort of careless dumping. Perhaps also householders might do a bit of regular cleaning up of the roadsides outside their own property.

Now that people are walking out more towards our local graveyard, have we made any progress on a roadside pathway from the village or righter from the entrance to Killaghy Castle to the graveyard in the interest of road safety.
