South Tipperary County Council roads repair programme for 2008 contains good news for the people of Mullinahone. A total of €593,940 is to be expended. The local programme is to be as follows: A)
Ballydonnell costing é57, 000 B) Lismolin costing €9,500 In Mullinahone village 500 metres of footpath is to be replaced costing €29,000. The regional road in the Five Eye Bridge/ Ballycullen area is to be surface dressed for 1,700 metres at a cost of €53,856, while similar treatment is being given to the local road at Modeshill for 700 metres and costing €18,480
Wet mix is to be put on the roads at Mackinawood (330m), Mullinoly (1,300m), Ballyduggan (1,200m) and Clashbeg (1,640m). The estimated costs are Mackinawood €17,00, Mullinoly €143,654, Ballyduggan €112,200 and Clashbeg €153,340. The above mentioned local good news comes courtesy of Councillor Eddie O Meara. Roads as well as water supply, antisocial behaviour and broadband are expected to be items of major importance in the next local elections in 2009.
