Credit Union AGM

E-mail Print PDF
The AGM of Mullinahone credit union will take place in the Knochnagow community centre on Wednesday December 3rd at 8pm sharp. Notice of the AGM should be in the hands of members by now. All family members over the age of 16 who are members of the credit union have been invited to attend.

On the economic front, news has been gloomy for some time. However, the news from your credit union in all this gloom and doom is relatively good. Unlike Bank of Ireland, our credit union will be declaring a divident to members. The "credit crunch" has of course impinged on our members but for the credit union member who didn't lose the run of themselves during the reign of the celtic tiger, there is not too much to worry about. Those who borrowed up to the hilt and then topped up may now be faced with problems as borrowed money will have to be repaid.

Managers of financial instituations who lashed out loans during the good times now have a much lower profile and no longer can play the role of Santa Clause. Indeed it is possible that the 2008 version of the said person will be a much leaner and slimmed down version. For further information, do attend your credit union AGM on Wednesday December 3rd.

Newsflash

"And I wouldn't much care for Sierra Leone, If I hadn't seen Killenaule
And the man that was never in Mullinahone,
Shouldn't say he had travelled at all."
